#3 - How to Face Your Financial Fears and Control Your Money
In this episode, we are joined by Sarah Carlson to discuss how to control our money, rather than have our money control us!
Sarah Carlson is a money expert, thought leader, writer, and financial planner who helps successful people work toward the goal of living their very best lives.
Although many people think money can’t “buy” happiness, Sarah knows from experience that it certainly can help. With wealth often comes anxiety, however, especially for those who don’t know the ins and outs of financial planning, investments, and money management.
Sarah has been a financial planner for 18 years and a wealth management specialist for 28 years, helping people navigate the many complexities that money can bring to life. She works to help simplify the process, whatever your dream may be—early retirement, traveling the world, leaving a legacy for future generations, or something else.
Additionally, Sarah is a graduate of Yale University, a Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Life Underwriter®, and Chartered Financial Consultant®, She is passionate about education, viewing it as a lifelong process. Her areas of experience include securities, trust, wills, investments, and retirement planning.
Many of Sarah’s clients come to her during times of transition such as divorce, widowhood, and retirement, wanting to make the most of their resources. Sarah sees herself as a “change agent,” helping people prepare for and weather the tumult that life presents, and to work toward their objectives through financial planning.
Sarah’s holistic approach incorporates a variety of securities and insurances. She strives to help you master the “big picture” that is your incredible overall journey, and to embrace the many pleasures you’ll encounter along the way—to work toward your goal of living the “good life” in every sense.
Sarah’s two sets of twins and husband help to fuel her with the passion and support to be her very best. She recently completed her book: Facing Financial Fear: 8 Steps to Financial Freedom for Women, which will be published this fall!
In this episode, Sarah shares with us the two most important steps when it comes to managing your money; getting real with your cash flow and intimately knowing your debt. She also teaches us how being curious can help to better manage our finances and lives.
Sarah discusses the power of small, consistent steps in changing the trajectory of your life, while also providing tactical action steps to move forward today.
